Hon. Rudy Salles, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, presented a memento to H.E. Jaime Gama, President of the Parliament of Portugal, on the occasion of the 4th meeting of the Standing Committees, which were held in Lisbon between the 24-26 June.

The presentation took place during the official dinner for the PAM delegations, hosted by H.E. Gama, at the new annex to the parliamentary building.

The PAM President also thanked all the Portuguese delegates, and in particular, Hon. José Junqueiro, Head of the delegation, for their support, and conveyed the Bureau’s compliments to the staff of the Portuguese Parliament who had organized, with great care and professionalism, the event in Lisbon.

H.E. Gama reiterated the importance with which Portugal considers its Mediterranean vocation even though its shores are located on the Atlantic. He also thanked the members of the Portuguese delegation for their sterling work and for their proactive engagement with the issues dealt with by PAM.
