On behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, President Sen. Francesco Amoruso (Italy) expressed the Assembly’s and his personal deepest condolences to the Presidents of the French Senate and National Assembly respectively, the French people and the families of the victims and wounded of the vile terroristic attack on the Charlie Hebdo magazine offices in Paris. Deeply shocked at the news of such an abominable act, President Amoruso said that such violence is a deliberate attack against the fundamental principles of democracy and freedom which we are all committed to sustain and will continue to defend.
"These are extremely sad moments, particularly for the persons directly involved. Together with our colleagues within the PAM I once again express the most sincere sympathy to France", Sen. Amoruso said.
