On the occasion of the 15th PAM Plenary Session, the recipients of the 2021 PAM Prize were announced. The award ceremony is tentatively scheduled for autumn 2021 in Italy.
The Assembly expressed its appreciation and admiration to a number of individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions in their distinct fields, to advance the development of the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions. PAM selected recipients in the fields of cooperation and dialogue among civilizations; humanitarian/medical assistance; migration management; countering domestic violence; promoting gender equality; pandemic response; environmental protection, and education.
Following are the candidates bestowed with the PAM Prize:
- Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED)
- WHO and its global response to the pandemic
- COVAX Initiative
- Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education from UAE to the World
- Osservatorio TuttiMedia and Media Duemila (Italy)
- Dr Andreia Castro (Portugal)
- Joint PAM Prize rewarding Member States initiatives to combat Domestic Violence through the development of dedicated smartphone applications: Algeria, Croatia, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Portugal, San Marino and Turkey.
- Kingdom of Jordan, one of the first countries to include vaccines migrants in its vaccination campaign.
- Team HOPE (Lebanon)
- Associazione “Mediterran: il nostro stile di vita” (France and Italy)
- Mr Néjib Belhadj Kacem ( Tunisia)
- Mr. Kamal Hachkar ( Morocco)
- Ms. Sabrina Gahar ( Algeria)
