The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) has been invited, along other international and regional organizations, to assist in the monitoring of the National elections in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

PAM in organizing a mission made up of four parliamentarians, who will offer their services to verify that the electoral process is carried out in respect of international democratic principles and correctness.

PAM has also been active in assisting the democratic transition processes in other North African member states of the Assembly, including the first free democratic elections held last year in Tunisia, where the citizens have started to experience a more participative role in the administration of their country. PAMs role is to facilitate the sharing and promoting the experience of democratic nations, in order to contribute to and support the proper implementation of one of the most fundamental rights of each citizen, in expressing a free choice from among a number of political voices in their respective countries.
