Statement by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean on Ankara terrorist bombing

Statement by the

Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean

on Ankara terrorist bombing

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) expresses its shock and unreserved condemnation of the terrorist attack in Ankara, Turkey, which caused the tragic death of 128 people and injured hundreds more.

A peaceful rally cannot be transformed into such a hideous occasion to sow terror and death among innocent civilians gathered to collectively disapprove of any form of violence, and call on all parties to suspend armed confrontation in the country.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean sends its deep condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the people, the Great Assembly and the Government of Turkey, and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.
