“European culture in the dialogue of civilizations” is the theme of the International Conference being held today in Malta, as part of the First Pan-European Festival Marathon, launched by the Russian Parliamentary European Club.
The aim of the project, which kick started in the city of Perm, is to show the integrity of the European cultural space in support of the thesis purporting the idea of a “Europe without dividing lines”.
The International Internet Conference is taking place at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Floriana between 11.00 and 16.00 hrs. The Opening session will be addressed by the Chairman of the Board of the European Club and Vice-Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for International Affairs, H.E. Andrey Klimov and the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, H.E. Sen. Francesco Amoruso.
Parliamentarians from Russia, the EU, Mediterranean countries, as well as experts on the subject are participating in the Conference.
The second session in the afternoon will be dedicated to “Intercultural cooperation in the Mediterranean countries” and will be followed by the official opening of the children’s art exhibition at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Valletta.
